What is a Thylacine? The Thylacine (Thylacinus cynocephalus, dog-headed pouched-dog) is a large carnivorous marsupial now believed to be extinct. It is the single member of the family Thylacinidae. It is also known as the Tasmanian Tiger or Tasmanian Wolf.
